The beach of Hon Gai is going to be put into operation this year’s summer. It is expected to be an emerging attraction for both locals and tourists to Ha Long city.
As part of the project to upgrade the coastal road Tran Quoc Nghien and control environmental pollution in this area, the artificial beach of Hon Gai costing roughtly VND 100 billion is 900 meters in length and 160 meters in width. The pavement along the beach is 28m wide with shady trees. The project also covers essential facilities such as a wharf, bathrooms and a separate 1.4 ha parking lot.
Particularly, 150,000m3 of sand has been pumped onto the beach construction, turning this area into an exquisite white- sand beach.
The project of Hon Gai Beach has currently almost completed the total workload. Constructors are required to speed up the project progress in order to put the beach into official operation this upcoming summer.
