Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay offer free and discounted tickets
The latest policy on free and discounted tickets to Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay has taken effect since July 17, 2023.
Free admission to Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay is applicable to the following groups of visitors: children under 1.2m tall or under 7 years old, people with severe disabilities as regulated in Article 11 of Decree No. 28/2012/NĐ-CP dated April 10, 2012, issued by the Government regarding the Law on Persons with Disabilities.
A 50% discount on the admission fees to Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay is given to senior citizens who are Vietnamese nationals aged 60 and above, as stipulated in Decree No. 06/2011/NĐ-CP dated January 14, 2011, issued by the Government regarding the Law on the Elderly.
Vietnamese children between 7 and under 16 receive a 20% discount on the entrance fees to Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.
In order to be eligible for a free or discounted ticket, visitors must present identification documents such as birth certificates or passports, disability certificates, identity cards or citizen identification cards at the ticket counters managed by the Ha Long Bay Management Board at tourist wharves.
If visitors use a level-2 electronic identification account on a smartphone, they must log into their account and display their citizen identification card.
When passing through the ticket control gates at Ha Long Bay, eligible individuals for free or discounted admission must present their respective documents as required.
