As many as 30 doctors, nurses and medical staff working at Quang Ninh Obstetrics And Pediatrics Hospital become the first ones to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in the province yesterday.
Quang Ninh on Mar. 24 administered its first COVID-19 doses to the front-line workers in the 1st period this year. Accordingly, 30 doctors, nurses and other medical employees working at Quang Ninh Obstetrics And Pediatrics Hospital received the first jabs of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the province. They are medical staff directly treating coronavirus suspected and confirmed patients.
The vaccinating procedures conformed to all regulations issued by the Ministry of Health.
No side effects was recorded after those shots of vaccine in the evening of March 24.
During the first period of vaccination in 2021, Quang Ninh was administered 4,100 doses of AstraZeneca's Covid-19. It is previously announced by the provincial functional organizations that frontline health and social care workers are priotized for those first doses.
Quang Ninh recorded 62 infected Covid-19 cases from January 27 to March 24 and only 6 patients are still under treatment. Notably, it is 43 days since the province last detected a new case in the community.
