In Cam Pha city, fireworks will illuminate 12/11 Square at 9.45 pm on April 25, marking the highlight of a special 90-minute art program titled “Unyielding coal land - Aspiration for greatness”. This event commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Coal Mining Region (April 25, 1955 - April 25, 2025).

The entire program will be broadcast live on QTV1, operated by the Quang Ninh Media Center, and simulcast by several other national and local television stations.

The program aims to honor and promote the rich cultural, historical, and revolutionary traditions of the Vietnamese people, particularly those of Quang Ninh. It will spotlight the unique character and spirit of Cam Pha’s people, known for their motto of “Discipline and Unity,” and express deep gratitude to past generations who built and defended the nation.

Later, at 9:50 PM on April 30, Mong Cai City will host its own 15-minute fireworks display at the Central Square of the city's Media and Cultural Center, as part of a vibrant celebration entitled “Mong Cai - Rising in the new era.” The evening will feature live music, a fashion show, and a drone light display forming iconic local images, creating an uplifting holiday atmosphere and drawing both residents and tourists to the cultural, sports, and tourism events across Quang Ninh.

Previously, with official approval from Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fireworks show will take place at 9:30 PM on May 1, as the grand finale of Ha Long Carnival 2025.

The show will be held along the scenic coastal boulevard near Ocean Park in Bai Chay Ward, promising a 15-minute spectacle of color and light over the iconic bay. This vibrant display is expected to create a memorable highlight for the holiday festivities, drawing crowds from across the region.

More than just a celebration, the fireworks show is part of Ha Long’s ongoing efforts to enrich its cultural offerings and strengthen the identity of Carnival Ha Long as a signature event. With fresh innovations in both content and presentation, the city aims to create a dynamic cultural space that reflects its rich heritage, while embracing creativity, connectivity, and global appeal.
