On April 15, the Central OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Panel conducted a national-level assessment and classification for products registered in 2025 (second round). In this round, Quang Ninh had eight additional products meeting the national 5-star OCOP standard.
Among them, Viet Tu Construction Investment and Trade Company Limited had six tea products certified at the national 5-star level. One liquor product from Thang Long Production, Service and Trading One Member Co., Ltd., and one liquor product from Vung Vieng Trading, Services and Tourism Co., Ltd., were also recognised.
This round of evaluation received 89 product dossiers from 18 provinces and cities across Vietnam, of which 72 products belonged to the food category, accounting for more than 80% of the total. As a result, 40 out of 89 products were awarded the 5-star rating.
To date, Quang Ninh has 16 OCOP products certified at the national 5-star level, placing it among the localities with the highest number of nationally rated 5-star OCOP products.
