Giant pumpkins weighing dozens of kilogrammes, including some exceeding 100 kilogrammes, are creating a new highlight in the Hoanh Mo border area. Following successful trial cultivation, the locality is expanding the farming area, with a view to developing a cultivation zone combined with tourism experiences and sightseeing while increasing the value of agricultural products. Together with the seasons of cherry blossoms, so (tea-oil camellia) flowers, star anise flowers and reed grass, the pumpkin fields enrich visitor experiences and enhance the appeal of tourism in the Hoanh Mo border area. By linking agricultural production with landscapes and local culture, Hoanh Mo commune seeks to create sustainable livelihoods for residents while building the image of a distinctive attractive border destination.
