Delegation from Houaphanh Province (Laos) pays Tet visit to Quang Ninh

On February 4, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang, received a delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Houaphanh Provincial People’s Committee Phonsouk Inthavong who came to extend Tet greetings to the Party organisation, authorities and people of Quang Ninh.

At the reception, Chairman Bui Van Khang expressed his pleasure at welcoming the high-level delegation from Houaphanh Province. Alongside economic development, in recent years, Quang Ninh has strenngthened its external relations, particularly cooperation with Lao provinces such as Houaphanh, Luang Prabang and Xayabuly. The focus has been on improving the quality of cooperation in investment, education and training, and tourism, thereby to further deepening the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos. He proposed that the authorities of Quang Ninh and Houaphanh continue to further strengthen connectivity and create favourable conditions for businesses from both sides to explore investment opportunities and build effective cooperation.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Phonsouk Inthavong said he was delighted to return to Quang Ninh, noting that each visit he can see clealy the province’s strong, dynamic and impressive development. With a view to further expanding and deepening cooperation between the two provinces, he proposed enhancing coordination in education, tourism, handicrafts, as well as promoting more frequent delegation exchanges at all levels. On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2026, he extended his best wishes to Quang Ninh’s Party committee, authorities and people.
