Bridging the Northeast and Northwest regions

A thematic exhibition entitled “Dien Bien – Cultural Colours and a Destination in the Northwest” is being held at the Quang Ninh Museum and Library from July 10 to August 10, in collaboration with the Dien Bien Museum. The exhibition not only introduces the rich cultural identity and heroic history of Vietnam’s westernmost region but also contributes to strengthening ties between the two localities and the Northeast and Northwest regions.

Featuring more than 130 photographs and documents, 90 artefacts and four representative collections, the exhibition offers the public a comprehensive and vivid insight into Dien Bien. Beyond its historical depth, the exhibition devotes considerable space to showcasing the cultural diversity of the 19 ethnic groups inhabiting in the province.

Another major highlight is the spotlight on Dien Bien’s tourism potential as the province strives to become a premier destination in the Northwest. The exhibits vividly portray its magnificent natural landscapes, signature OCOP products...

The exhibition also serves as a meaningful cultural bridge between Dien Bien and Quang Ninh, two provinces with rich historical traditions and a strong commitment to heritage preservation. Through the event, the two localities continue to strengthen cooperation in museum activities and exchange experience in collecting, researching and promoting heritage values, thereby further fostering solidarity between their people.
