Cao Ba Lanh Mountain recognised as provincial-level relic site

On July 25, Hoanh Mo commune held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognising the Cao Ba Lanh Mountain historical, cultural and scenic site as a provincial-level relic site.

Located in Hoanh Mo commune, the protected area of the Cao Ba Lanh Mountain historical, cultural and scenic site covers more than 221 hectares. The site holds distinctive historical, cultural and natural landscape values for the commune.

Besides the majestic beauty of the northeastern mountains and forests, the area also occupies a strategic position in national defence and security and is closely associated with the protection of national border sovereignty.

The Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee’s decision to recognise the Cao Ba Lanh Mountain historical, cultural and scenic site as a provincial-level relic site acknowledges its outstanding values. It also contributes to promoting the image of Hoanh Mo as a borderland rich in revolutionary traditions, cultural identity and development potential, while opening up further opportunities for the locality to develop its service and tourism sectors.
