Binh Lieu Culture - Tourism Festival is scheduled to be organized at the stage of Luc Na Temple at Luc Hon commune between Aprill 28 and May 22.

This annual festival features a series of cultural activities.

The festival will feature a series of cultural activities such as an opening program, an art show, a marathon, a paragliding program on the ripen rice fields, etc.

These activities bear the cultural identity of ethnic communities in Binh Lieu and some localities in the north-eastern region.

With ethnic minorities occupying up to 96% of the population, the mountainous district Binh Lieu of Quang Ninh Province decided to promote cultural value preservation and develop community-based tourism in order to boost the local economy and society.

Around 120km from Halong city, Binh Lieu is renowned for not only the rich culture but also the mild climate, pleasant temperature all year round, and well-blessed natural landscapes. Owning a 43km border with China, Binh Lieu enchants tourists with majestic mountains, Khe Van or Khe Tien Waterfalls, and especially a reed paradise – one of the most sought-after spots for travel enthusiasts recently.

Currently, plenty of cultural preservation models are developed, namely Tay culture village in Dong Thanh, Dao cultural villages in Na Nhai, or Song Mooc – a homestay on Song Mooc Commune at 1000m above sea level. Apart from seven tourism categories, Binh Lieu also takes advantage of its unique traditional values via yearly festivals, or tourism and cultural weeks.

Quang Ninh in general and Binh Lieu in particular have been investing in infrastructure to connect tourist attractions and make the travel route easier for travelers.
