According to Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, the art programme marking the opening of Ha Long Carnaval 2026, themed “Wonders Shine in the New Era,” is scheduled to take place on April 30 at 30/10 Square in Ha Long Ward, with an estimated attendance of 80,000 local residents and visitors.
The art programme will begin with a street parade and carnival procession from 4pm to 6pm from Bai Chay coastal road to Hon Gai Beach, before gathering along the coastal road behind Quang Ninh Museum and Libarry and Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center. The parade will feature 54 groups representing communes, wards and special zones, along with vehicles of international art troupes representing countries and localities that have cooperative ties with Quang Ninh. The programme will also include circus acts, dance performances, stilt walking, local cultural showcases and a street carnival with around 1,000 performers.
The highlight will be the art performance starting at 8pm at 30/10 Square. The 180 minute-long programme promises a vibrant and spectacular showcase..
The event will kick off the Quang Ninh Summer Culture, Sports and Tourism Week 2026, taking place from April 25 to May 3. The week is expected to attract about 1.3 million tourist arrivals, contributing to the province’s target of welcoming 5.92 million tourist arrivals in the second quarter of 2026, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND 18.176 trillion.
