A dazzling visual spectacle lights up the sea

The “Waves of Light Festival” programme, held for the first time in Quang Ninh on a grand scale as part of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week - Summer 2026, has created a special highlight, attracting large numbers of residents and visitors. Nearly 80 steel-hulled tourist boats illuminated with bright lights and decorated with colourful flags joined the performance on the water, creating an impressive visual spectacle filled with colour and emotion.

The programme takes place daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will continue until May 2, 2026, serving residents and visitors during the April 30–May 1 holiday period. Specifically, from April 28 to 30, the boat parade follows a route from Bai Tho Bridge, passing 30/10 Square to Cot 5 Beach before returning. From May 1 to 2, the route is adjusted to run from Ha Long International Cruise Port to Vinpearl Resort and Spa Ha Long and back.
