An awards ceremony for the “Moments of the Yen Tu–Vinh Nghiem–Con Son, Kiep Bac Heritage” Photo Contest was held at the Bac Ninh Provincial Conference Center. The event was organised by the Press and Radio & Television agencies of Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong to commemorate the 101st anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Journalism Day.
The Yen Tu–Vinh Nghiem–Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes embodies the historical, cultural and spiritual values of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Buddhist tradition, a treasured heritage of the Vietnamese nation that has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The photo contest was launched to promote the heritage’s values to the wider public and contribute to raising awareness of the responsibility for preserving and promoting its significance in the new era.
After nearly six months, the contest received 1,093 entries from 177 photographers representing 17 provinces and cities nationwide. The judging panel selected 78 outstanding works, including 26 prize-winning entries and 52 works for exhibition. The selected works will continue to be featured across print publications, radio, television programmes and digital platforms operated by the three co-organising media agencies.
On this occasion, the organising committee handed over the rotating flag to Quang Ninh Media Group, which will host the next edition of the contest.
