On December 7, the vibrant atmosphere at the square of the Bach Dang National Special Relic Site in Quang Yen welcomed the 3rd edition of “Amata Run - Bach Dang Heritage Road 2025” co-organized by Quang Yen Ward and Amata Ha Long Urban JSC.
After two successful seasons in 2023 and 2024, the race has grown into a beloved annual event, attracting the running community from Quang Ninh and across Vietnam. This year, 1,900 athletes enthusiastically took on the 3km, 5km, and 10km distances for both men and women.
What makes Amata Run truly special is its race course, an inspiring cultural and historical journey through iconic landmarks of Quang Yen: the Bach Dang National Special Relic Site, the revered Tran Hung Dao temple, the shrine of Vua Ba, Rung wharf, the legendary Bach Dang stake yard, and centuries-old ironwood trees that have stood witness to Vietnam’s heroic victories over foreign invasions during the Tran Dynasty.
This 2025 edition is both a celebration and a tribute, marking the joy of the Bach Dang Stake Yard Site being recognized by UNESCO on July 12, 2025 as part of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex (a World Cultural Heritage). The race encourages healthy living, spreads positive energy, and fosters community connection.
At the finish line, excitement continued as organizers presented awards to the top athletes: 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 6 third prizes across race categories, along with special awards for the largest running teams and medals for every finisher.
Staying true to its community spirit, the event also raised VND 200 million and donated essential goods including food, school supplies, and 100kg of rice to support disadvantaged households in Hiep Hoa and Quang Yen wards.
