Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hanh inspects Covid-19 prevention and control in Ha Long city and Quang Yen town
On Feb. 23, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee. Nguyen Thi Hanh, visited some health clinics in Ha Long City and Quang Yen Town to inspect the implementation of neccessary measures against Covid-19.
Ha Long city and Quang Yen town have emerged as the two localities with the highest number of new cases in the province in recent days. As of February 22, Ha Long, the most populous city in Quang Ninh province, recorded 13,315 cases of Covid-19 and Quang Yen confirmed 5,967 cases.
After visiting Ha Long city’s Cao Xanh ward office, Quang Yen town’s Yen Giang medical clinic, Hiep Hoa mobile medical station, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hanh directed those localities to pay special attention to taking care of F0s at home, prepare a plan to protect children under 18 years old, the elderly with underlying medical conditions, and the disadvantaged families.
She also requested the two localities to urgently have all the designated people injected with Covid-19 vaccine before February 27 in line with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Pandemic Prevention and Control.
In addition, she directed the provincial Department of Health to mobilize human resources in oder to actively support Ha Long city and Quang Yen town in establishing and promoting the efficiency of mobile medical stations. At the same time, more medical workers should be temporarily assigned to work at commune-level health to meet the requirements of treating patients.
Ha Long city and Quang Yen town are asked to maximize the effectiveness of mobile medical stations in taking care of F0s at home and thrive to reduce the rate of new infected cases, severe cases, and deaths.
