Tran Quoc Nghien Ring Road to be put into operation in May 2020

Started construction in July 2019, Tran Quoc Nghien Ring Road Expansion Project has basically completed and ready to be put into use.

With the aim of offering a new tourism space, Ha Long City has implemented Tran Quoc Nghien Ring Road Expansion Project (starting from Bai Tho Bridge to the connecting point of Ha Long – Cam Pha Ring Road). The expanded road, stretching 4.7 km, is upgraded to 6 lanes from 4 current lanes. The inner pavement is 5 m wide meanwhile the outer 28 m-wide pavement is designed under the concept of a park where people can admire Ha Long Bay. It got a total investment of more than 600 billion VND from the Ha Long municipal budget.

According to the investor, the project is 95% complete and being hastened to be put into operation on the occasion of Apr.30 and May 1. As for the public beach, it is being carpeted with sand and scheduled to be completed within May.

Defining expanded Tran Quoc Nghien Ring Road as an important project to highlight local landscape and mark the Ha Long Municipal Party’s Committee Congress, the investors and constructors have overcome difficulties and made detailed timetable for every construction package. In the context of Covid-19 spirals, promptly solutions have been considered and applied to ensure the construction schedule.

The road, to be put into use in May, will meet local people and tourists’ expectations in terms of landscape, entertainment area, parking, beach, sporting in the east of the city. Once operational, it will also connect with famous tourist attractions, for example Bai Tho Moutain, Quang Ninh Museum, Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center… to form synchronous tourist attractions.
