Tien Yen Street Art Festival 2023 to open on August 26

The People's Committee of Tien Yen district has issued a plan on the organization of the Tien Yen Street Art Festival in 2023.

This is part of a series of activities within the framework of the 4th Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of ethnic groups in the northeast region, and the Cultural and Sports Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Quang Ninh province in 2023.

The opening program of the festival will take place at 19.30 on August 26, 2023 at the main stage and Tien Yen walking streets with special music performances.

The festival will be divided into two parts. The first part untitled "Tien Yen - A place to connect ethnic groups in the Northeast" includes the following activities such as dragon dance, a play named “Legend of Tien Yen chicken”, a reenactment of the Dao Thanh Y bridesmaid procession, traditional dances of the San Diu ethnic group, the San Chi ethnic group’s folk games, a program introducing Tien Yen cuisine, etc.

The second part named “Tien Yen: Integration and Development” features a wide range of dancing performances like folk dance, rumba, stall dancing, etc.

Tien Yen district, at the heart of Quang Ninh’s northeast, is located on an artery linking Mong Cai border gate, Van Don international airport, Ha Long city, and Lang Son province.

Tien Yen  has a range of unique cultural values bearing the regional characteristics. The preservation and promotion of the cultural values has always been the district’s top priority and important task which requires the participation of the entire political system, contributing to enriching the community’s cultural life.
