On June 17, standing vice chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Dang Huy Hau had a working session with General Director of Amata Vietnam, Somhatai Panichewa on the Amata Halong smart city proposal.
The study planning covers on a total area of 1,720 hectares in Uong Bi City and Quang Yen Town. Amata proposed two concepts. After reviewing the concepts and consultation of relevant departments and branches, Vice chairman Hau asked the group to continue implementing concept No.1 to build a green city based on keeping the current topographic conditions and rivers. The residential area will account for 30% of the total land, green plants account for 18% and the remaining area is for trade, services, exhibitions, R&D and traffic system…He urged Amata to report by August for further implementation steps.
