The festival of Luc Na Communal House opens in Binh Lieu
After three years of being suspended due to Covid-19, the festival of Luc Na Communal House was kicked off at Ban Cau hamlet in Binh Lieu district’s Luc Hon commune on February 6, or the 16th day of the first lunar month.
Historically, Luc Na Communal House was built in the post-Le dynasty to worship Hoang Can, a heroic general who gained many merits during the resistance against the the invaders and protected the area.
The festival included a range of traditional rituals such as worshiping the village’s God, taking part in the procession of the ancestral tablet of the village’s God, incensing, etc.
After these rituals, there were some interesting competitions such as Luc Na football competitions, folk games, Then singing performances and competitions, etc.
This annual festival aims to contribute to the preservation of the local culture and the enrichment of the people's spiritual life.
