Tan Tien Communal House Festival opens in Ba Che mountain district

On February 12, Tan Tien Communal House Festival was organized by the People's Committee of Don Dac Commune to pray for favorable weather, abundant harvests, and peace.

Tan Tien Communal House is dedicated to the village's tutelary god, honoring the ancestors who lived with kindness and compassion for the poor. They were highly respected by the villagers and were venerated with incense offerings after passing away.

On the 15th day of the first lunar month, residents from villages across the commune contribute offerings for the New Year ceremony, praying for prosperity, good fortune, favorable weather, and abundant harvests. The offerings consist of local produce made by the villagers.

The highlight of this year's festival was the procession of the village's guardian deity tablet. The procession began at the communal house courtyard, passing through the village before returning to the courtyard.

After that, there was a ritual of offering incense and offerings, followed by cultural activities, arts performances, sports, and folk games.
