Saxophonist Kenny G shares Nhan Dan Newspaper-released music video on Vietnam tourism
On April 19, US saxophonist Kenny G shared the ‘Going Home’ music video on his Facebook page, recently released by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and the IB Group Vietnam to promote Vietnam’s tourism.
In the music video, Kenny G performs‘Going Home’ at iconic cultural and historical sites in Hanoi, including Hoan Kiem Lake, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, the Temple of Literature, and Long Bien Bridge.
Just a few hours after release, Kenny G's official Facebook Fanpage shared part of the MV.
The post has attracted much attention and interest from the public. As of 3 AM on April 20, the post had attracted more than 3,000 interactions, over 200 comments, 13,000 views and hundreds of shares.
The MV ‘Going Home’ was filmed during Kenny G’s performance in Hanoi in November 2023, which was co-organised by Nhan Dan (People) newspaper and IB Group Vietnam.
In a card sent to the audience, Kenny G wrote: “Hanoi is an incredible city with so many wonderful people! Thank you for your warm welcome. Love, Kenny G.”
Speaking at the launch event of the MV, Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that the MV aims to promote Vietnamese tourism to the world.
Meanwhile, President and Chairman of IB Group Vietnam Nguyen Thuy Duong said that promoting tourism through the MV ‘Going Home’ will help to optimise costs while ensuring communication effectiveness as those who are interested in Kenny G's music will definitely check it out immediately.
The track ‘Going Home’ is part of Kenny G’s album ‘Kenny G Live,’ produced in 1989. It has been piped daily into radio speakers, supermarkets, train stations, and schools in many Asian cities over the past 30 years.
