According to data released by the Authority of Telecommunications under the Ministry of Science and Technology, 4G coverage has reached 100% of the city’s population, while 5G coverage has reached 94%, ranking 12th nationwide. The proportion of households with fixed FTTH broadband subscriptions stands at 99.74%, the second highest in Vietnam.

Along with infrastructure expansion, the city is focusing on addressing areas where signal quality remains limited. To date, all island communes have eliminated mobile coverage gaps, while 32 of the 36 identified coverage gaps on the mainland have been addressed under the 2026 plan.

The continued improvement of telecommunications infrastructure is helping enhance access to digital services for residents and businesses, while providing a foundation for the development of digital government, the digital economy and digital society across the city.
