Quang Ninh welcomes a surge of visitors during the Hung Kings' Festival holiday
With its convenient transportation infrastructure and diverse tourism offerings, Quang Ninh has become a favorite destination for travelers during the 2025 Hung Kings' Festival holiday. Tourist attractions and accommodations are experiencing a significant uptick in visitors. Local businesses have meticulously prepared their infrastructure and human resources to accommodate the growing number of guests.
The weather during the holiday has been perfect for tourists to explore the area. Mong Cai City has seen a large influx of visitors from northern regions such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, and Hai Phong. From early morning, hundreds of travelers have passed through the Mong Cai International Border Gate. Local authorities have efficiently guided both residents and tourists to ensure smooth and quick entry procedures.
“The expressway connecting Hanoi, Ha Long, and Mong Cai makes our travel quick and convenient. Additionally, the scenery in Mong Cai is breathtaking. We spent a day crossing the Mong Cai International Border Gate for sightseeing, and the procedures were seamless. After that, we had two full days to explore the city’s beautiful landmarks”, said Nguyen Thi Thu Nga, a tourist from Hanoi.
It’s expected that during the Hung Kings' Festival and upcoming major holidays, Mong Cai City will welcome around 1 million visitors. To handle this surge, local tourism businesses and accommodations have implemented measures to enhance service quality. "To ensure top-notch service, we’ve hired and trained skilled staff. We’ve also ramped up our marketing efforts through social media platforms and booking apps like Booking and Agoda to attract both domestic and international guests", said Le Thi Tu Uyen, Head of Reception and Human Resources at Hung Vuong Hotel.
Alongside Mong Cai City, many tourists are also choosing new destinations to make the most of their holiday. The Bai Tu Long Bay sightseeing tour, which began on March 29, has already drawn a large number of eager visitors.
"We discovered the Bai Tu Long Bay tour through the media, and we decided to book a tour during this holiday. Once we arrived, I was amazed by the stunning natural scenery and unique activities like kayaking, visiting fishing villages, and exploring the local seafood farms. These experiences will surely create unforgettable memories for me and my family", shared Nguyen Thị Loan, a tourist from Hai Phong.
Currently, daily sightseeing boats depart from the Ao Tien International Port to Bai Tu Long Bay. Quang Ninh province has waived entrance fees for routes and attractions in Bai Tu Long Bay. Visitors are only required to pay for boat tickets and port service fees.
During the upcoming holiday break from April 30 to May 1, additional sightseeing boats will be added to accommodate the increased number of tourists.
