Quang Ninh’s State management departments have applied effective measures in order to facilitate and support enterprises and traders to supply merchandise at trade fairs and exhibitions, contributing to bring provincial products closer to both domestic and foreign consumers.
Mong Cai City is one of the localities where trade activities develop strongly. The local authority has proactively provided enterprises and traders with information before trade fairs are held. Besides, participants in OCOP Fairs, annual Vietnam-China International Tourism and Trade Fair or fairs in response to the movement “Vietnamese gives priority to Vietnamese goods” are supported with a part of transportation costs and rental fees.
Since 2018, Mong Cai has supported organizations and enterprises participating in 13 trade promotion fairs and exhibitions with 547 million VND and OCOP fairs with 520 million VND.
Quang Ninh’s Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Science and Technology have also created favorable conditions for enterprises and traders to introduce and promote their products at fairs and exhibitions. For example, the Department of Science and Technology offers online services for commodity certification, intellectual property right registration, trade brand building… The department also gives direct consultancy on the process of standardized packaging to help the product available as soon as possible in the market
Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry has organized and co-organized 20 fairs, including 3 provincial-level trade fairs and 17 exhibitions, since the beginning of 2019.
Thanks to such events like OCOP Connection Week, Quang Ninh OCOP Fair, and fairs bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas, hundreds of local enterprises and those from outside the province have chance to sell and advertise their products.
