Quang Ninh athlete won a gold medal at the 2023 VTF President's Cup

The National Outstanding Athlete Taekwondo Championship - The 2023st VTF President's Cup- was held between December 2 and 7  at the Sports Training and Competition Center of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, attracting the participation of nearly 300 athletes from various delegations from provinces, cities, and clubs across the country.

Athele Vu Tung Quan from Quang Ninh province achieved a gold medal in the weight class of 73kg for males and the age category of 15-17.

The tournament was organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in collaboration with the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation and the Department of Physical Training and Sports.

At the tournament, 300 athletes competed in 3 catagories according to the Youth Olympic weight class.

This is the first time the tournament has been held. It is an opportunity to evaluate the training quality of Taekwondo nationwide, find a source of excellent athletes to foster this sector, and prepare for domestic and international tournaments taking place in 2024.
