PPC Chairman Pham Duc An extended Lunar New Year greetings to 1st cruise ship tourists
In the joyful spirit of the Lunar New Year, on the morning of January 29 (or the first day of Tet), Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Duc An visited Ha Long International Cruise Port to present flowers and extend New Year greetings to the first cruise ship passengers arriving in Quang Ninh.
The Silver Dawn cruise ship carrying over 500 international tourists from European and American countries docked at Ha Long International Cruise Port at 8am on January 29.
The tourists were warmly welcomed with a special traditional ceremony as soon as they stepped off the ship.
Extending New Year greetings, presenting flowers, and giving "li xi" (lucky money) to the first visitors of the lunar new year, PPC Chairman Pham Duc An warmly welcomed the guests. He thanked them for choosing Ha Long as a destination on their journey.
He also extended his best wishes for a prosperous and lucky New Year to all visitors and hoped they would have a memorable, exciting, and enjoyable experience in Ha Long city.
After docking at Ha Long International Cruise Port, the group of tourists set out to explore Ha Long Bay, as well as various entertainment venues and historical-cultural sites in Quang Ninh.
The cruise ship will stay overnight at Ha Long International Cruise Port on January 29 and continue its journey on January 30, 2025.
Silver Dawn is the first cruise ship to arrive during the Lunar New Year holiday and the 10th international cruise ship to dock at Ha Long International Cruise Port since the beginning of 2025.
As planned, approximately 70 international cruise ships from various countries, including the UK, France, Germany, and China, are expected to bring nearly 90,000 visitors to Ha Long International Cruise Port in 2025.
