PPC Chairman Cao Tuong Huy visited storm- affected people in Uong Bi

On September 11, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Cao Tuong Huy, visited and presented gifts to a number of families affected by storm No. 3 in Uong Bi city.

PPC Chairman Cao Tuong Huy visited Ly Van Minh’s family at Nam Mau 2 and Ban Thi Phong, 90 years old, Khe Su 1 village. Mr Minh’s house was blown away and collapsed by the storm while Mrs Phong’s family, a poor household, had just escaped poverty before their entire roof was blown away by the storm. Both households reside in Thuong Yen Cong commune.

Presenting gifts to those families, PPC Chairman Cao Tuong Huy expressed his sympathy towards those storm-hit people and shared the losses of the families affected by the storm and encouraged them to overcome difficulties to recover such consequences.

PPC Chairman presented a gift to Mrs Ban Thi Phong, 90 years old.

He asked the local authorities and relevant organizations, individuals to continue joining hands to practically support those households and other storm-affected ones.

Uong Bi city was requested to assess damage to give support to affected people so as to ensure that no one is left hungry, cold or homeless.

According to statistics, storm No. 3 collapsed 6 houses, blew off 90 house roofs and made 28 houses flooded at Thuong Yen Cong commune. The local government has actively cooperated with the people to overcome the consequences of the storm to soon return to normal life.
