Platform promotes Vietnam’s image to international friends
A ceremony was held in Hanoi, on April 13 to make the debut of the platform https://vietnam.vn , to promote Vietnam’s image and launch a photo and video clip contest entitled “Happy Vietnam 2023”.
The platform https://vietnam.vnwas launched in the context that Vietnam has been promoting deeper and comprehensive international integration in all aspects of political, economic, cultural and social life, while the Party and State have been paying greater attention to the propaganda of images and information about the country.
As noted by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the country has more than 250 foreign press agencies, and over 80 foreign language websites of ministries, agencies and localities, serving the propaganda work, as well as many social media channels of organisations, businesses and individuals participating in promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam, in cyberspace.
The increasing innovation requirement in the field of contemporary journalism and media continues to require new and intelligent tools, platforms and technology applications, with outstanding features in handling and providing information and quick and diverse accessibility, meeting all needs of readers.
Therefore, the website https://vietnam.vnwas upgraded into a platform to promote Vietnam's image, with the same domain name, but with new and different features based on new technology.
The platform has aggregated information from more than 100 major press agencies, 63 portals of provinces and cities, under the central rule and data sources from many organisations, businesses and individuals. Thereby, the platform has accumulated a rich treasure with over 10,000 documents about the land and people of Vietnam.
In addition, the platform will continuously update information about the localities, synthesise beautiful images/videos about Vietnam, digitise real Vietnam in digital space, and introduce outstanding faces.
Themed “For everyone’s happiness”, the photo and video clip contest “Happy Vietnam 2023”, aims to promote the image of Vietnam, with prizes worth up to 400 million VND.
