Mong Cai Border Gate strengthens the fight against smuggling

The Customs force at Mong Cai Border Gate  has actively undertaken a series of anti-smuggling measures since custom clearance required for cargo import - export activities  and immigration was resumed.  

Under the direction of the Standing agency of 389 Steering Committee of Mong Cai city, the Customs Enforcement Team No.1 (under Quang Ninh Customs Department) has recently strengthened the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods on border lines, especially during this period when the new Lunar New Year is coming. 

The Customs Enforcement Team No.1 has strengthened the work of collecting, analyzing and processing information, firmly grasping key routes, locations, entities and items; develop plans to investigate, verify, fight, effectively prevent and destroy lines of smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transport of goods through the border gate and open roads, especially firecrackers, alcohol, prohibited goods, wild animals and plants, etc.

The have also strengthened the dissemination of laws on regimes and policies for exported and imported goods and luggage for passengers on exit or entry; rights and obligations of enterprises operating postal and express delivery services.

The close control in the area and effective handling of smuggling, trade fraud and illegal transportation of goods across the border gates have contributed to making the market transparent and maintaining security in the area, and increasing the State revenue.
