Lao – Vietnamese bilingual school begins new school year
The Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese bilingual school in the Lao capital of Vientiane officially launched the 2022-2023 academic year at a ceremony on September 13.
Rector of the school Sivanheuang Phengkhammay said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the school has made efforts to ensure pandemic prevention and control for its students and teachers during the 2021-2022 school year.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, the school has 30 classrooms, from kindergarten to high school level, with more than 1,000 students.
At the opening ceremony for the school year, Sivanheuang Phengkhammay called on all staff and teachers at the school to make greater contributions to the cause of education.
Vu Tu Oanh, a representative from the Embassy of Vietnam in Laos, expressed her hope that the school will promote the achieved results as well as enhance innovation in all activities towards the successful implementation of the major tasks.
On the occasion, the Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese bilingual school honoured the teachers and students who gained outstanding achievements in teaching and studying in the past academic year.
