Although this is the first year that universal health check-ups have been conducted, Quang Ninh has made the programme one of its key priorities through proactive and concerted efforts, with the aim of ensuring that every resident benefits from this humanitarian policy of the Party and State.
As of 5:30 p.m. on September 30, according to data from the Department of Health, 99.9% of residents across the city received health check-ups. From intensified public communication and outreach to after-hours examinations, medical teams travelled to neighbourhoods and went door to door to provide check-ups and medical care for elderly people and those with difficulty travelling. From urban areas to border and island communities, no one was left behind. The programme is not simply about providing residents with a one-off health check-up; the results collected to date will also form an important database, enabling the health sector to better manage and monitor the health of each resident.
