On October 2, Quang Ninh City held a hybrid conference with participants attending both in person and online from communes, wards and special administrative zones to launch the emulation campaign “90 Days of acceleration and breakthrough to fulfil the 2026 targets and tasks”.
To achieve all 32 targets for 2026, Chairman of the City People’s Committee and Chairman of the City Emulation and Commendation Council, Bui Van Khang, officially launched the campaign at the conference. The campaign focuses on completing 100% of site clearance for key projects; disbursing 100% of public investment capital in line with the target assigned by the Prime Minister; achieving annual GRDP growth of more than 13%; raising GRDP per capita to US$11,810; mobilising more than VND130 trillion in total investment capital; collecting more than VND100 trillion in state budget revenue; establishing more than 3,000 new businesses and increasing the number of operating businesses to 15,200; and raising the urbanisation rate to more than 75%.
Deputy Secretary Bui Van Khang emphasised that, with the unified and decisive leadership and direction of the City Party Committee, the engagement of the entire political system, the support of local residents, and the dynamism and creativity of the business community, the 90-day acceleration and breakthrough campaign must generate new momentum, new motivation and new impetus, with efforts focused on fulfilling and exceeding the 2026 targets and tasks. This will lay a foundation for building Quang Ninh into a heritage city and a distinctive cultural and tourism urban centre of international stature, as well as a smart and model city in the new era of development.
