Lac Thanh Communal House & Pagoda Festival opens in Uong Bi city
The festival is held annually on the 14th and 15th of the third lunar month. There are a range of solemn rituals which feature typical Vietnamese cultural identities.
Built in the 17th century, Lac Thanh communal house worships 12 tutelary gods. Despite being repaired and restored for many times, the historical site still preserves the architectural style of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Lac Thanh Pagoda is located next to the communal house, forming a 2.000-square-meter complex of Communal House - Lac Thanh Pagoda.
The festival of Lac Thanh Communal House - Pagoda Festival was successfully restored and received the Certificate of recognition as a provincial historical relic in 2012.
