Ensuring traffic safety in spring festival season

Local authorities and functional forces have implemented a series of effective measures to ensure the traffic safety during the spring festival season of 2022.

In Uong Bi city, home to the Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes which annually attracts numerous pilgrims and visitors in spring, the police have patrolled at main intersections in order to direct the movement of traffic and prevent congestion and accidents since the Lunar New Year holiday. They have also strengthened mobile patrol in the area and strictly handled law violations relating to traffic safety and order.

Previously, the city in late 2021 invested in installing more signs and street lights and expanding roads at the Doc Do intersection and the Highway 10 intersection to minimize traffic congestion during the festive season.

In Cam Pha city, in order to ensure traffic safety at the special national monument of Cua Ong Temple, Cua Ong ward has also strengthened the functional force to strictly handle violations and  guide visitors and vehicles from the intersection of Highway 18 to the gate of the relic site.

In Ha Long City, the number of pilgrims to Loi Am Pagoda has increased sharply since  the first days of the year. The People's Committee of Dai Yen ward prepared a detailed plan for the organization of Loi Am pagoda festival, including effective solutions to ensure safety for visitors on pilgrimage to the pagoda.

As tourists must take boats on Yen Lap river on the way to the pagoda, special attention has been paid to traffic safety on ensuring security and order of the boats.
