As one of the most modern and largest BOT thermal power projects in Vietnam, Mong Duong 2 thermal power plant under AES Eletricity – Mong Duong Coal Co. Ltd made great contribution to national electricity grid, especially in the context of Vietnam’s shortage of energy supply.
As the plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2020, Mong Duong 2 thermal power plant produces nearly 8.7 kWh of electricity, up nearly 1 bil.kWh of electricity compared to 2019. By the end of the first quarter of 2020, the plan produced 2.5 bil. kWh (8% higher than the plan).
Under the motto “safety”, the plant always strictly implementes preventive measures to ensure laborers’ health and electricity production stabilization in Covid 19 spirals.
