Cyclists enjoy charming racing routes in Binh Lieu

As part of a series of programs launched during the So flower festival, the sports bike racing held on December 18 attracted a lot of locals and tourists.

More than 150 cyclists coming from 20 cycling clubs across the countries took part in the race. Three age groups included 18-39, 40-55 and over 55.

The 18-kilometer racing route began at Pac Lieng hamlet at Binh Lieu townlet and ended at Dong Long hamet at Dong Tam commune. Despite the cold weather and strong wind, cyclists showed their strong will to complete their competition.

The race, according to the organisers, is used to raise awareness on conservation of natural environment among participants and promote the beauty of Binh Lieu on a large scale.

So flower festival was launched on December 16 at Dong Long hamlet in Dong Tam commune, Binh Lieu district.

The festival aims to promote the district’s landscape, people and uphold cultural values, as well as its advantages for tourism development, thereby attracting investments into Binh Lieu to develop it into an attractive tourism destination.

During the festial, domestic and international tourists had a great chance to enjoy the beauty of Binh Lieu mountainous district covered in white So flowers. There are a range of activities such as an exhibition on beautiful scenery in Binh Lieu, art performances, a culinary competition, a youth music festival and campfire, a paragliding program named "Flying over So forest", a bike race, a fair of OCOP products and souvenirs, ect.
