Established on 13/3/1957, VOSA Quang Ninh is an unit under Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines). This is the first enterprise in Quang Ninh specializing in shipping agent services. After more than 50 years of development, VOSA Quang Ninh has become a multi-sector enterprise.
At the present, VOSA Quang Ninh has provided agent services and is the main supplier for almost of the large cruise ships in the world. It becomes the leading shipping agency in Vietnam, in the field of liner services, marine supply and shipping logistics. Its major partners are the leading shipping firms in the world, namely: NYK, KLINE, DAICHI FIRST SHIP, MSC, CHINA SHIPPING, COSCO. VOSA Quang Ninh is one of the enterprises that has the largest import-export turnover in the country of over USD 500 million per year. The import and export markets of VOSA Quang Ninh spread over the world, such as China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, the U.S, Brazil, and Argentina, etc.
After more than 10 years of establishment with rapid development, its ocean shipping agenct services and ship hiring has confirmed the reputation and quality. VOSA Quang Ninh has involved in undertaking international and domestic shipping packages to deliver the entire equipments and facilities to the construction site of the major projects of the country, namely: Bai Chay Bridge project, My Dinh National stadium, Cai Lan seaport, Phu My -Vung Tau power plant, Son Dong-Bac Giang Thermal Power Plant, etc.
Currently, besides its successful businesses, VOSA Quang Ninh is implementing its business strategies aiming at promoting the development of marine logistics supply chain for domestic and foreign partners. This is one of the business types that brings high economic benefit but rather new in Vietnam. In order to successfully implement that strategy, VOSA Quang Ninh has intensified investment in equipping modern material facilities. To date, VOSA Quang Ninh owns a 50,000m2 ground and a 20,000m2 specialized warehouse, which are near to Cai Lan Port.
To continue to implement the strategy aimed to promoting the logistics services, VOSA Quang Ninh on 21/2/2012 has held the Inauguration Ceremony of the 6,500m2 specialized depot storing agricultural products. This is a good outcome resulted from the collaboration between VOSA Quang Ninh and the BUNGE group (The U.S). At the same time, a ceremony will be held to announce the establishment decision of the Cai Lan Logistics center under VOSA Quang Ninh. These are “vigorous steps” for VOSA Quang Ninh to successfully develop Cai Lan warehouse into a logistics center of international stature at Cai Lan seaport, contributing to the successful development of Quang Ninh’s marine economic development.
