Cai Bau Pagoda, also known as Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery, is considered to be one of the most beautiful coastal temples in Quang Ninh owing to its pristine beauty and poetic scenery. Thousands of tourists have visited this place since the first day of the lunar new year.

Overlooking the stunning Bai Tu Long Bay, the pagoda is known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful architecture, and breathtaking coastal views.

Located on the mountains in Ha Long commune in Van Don district, Cai Bau pagoda – Giac Lam zen monastery overlooks the bay of Bai Tu Long bay with thousands of stunning islets. The place used to witness victories of great heroes in the past.

Over the past time, Van Don attached special importance to managing and organizing cultural activities and festivals, and promoting traditional cultural values of localities. This place also witnessed the preemptive battle against the Yuan-Mongol invaders, laying the groundwork for the victory on the Bach Dang River in 1288.

Cai Bau has become a popular destination for both tourists and Buddhist followers seeking tranquility and spiritual connection.

Some relics were repaired, upgraded and embellished by socialized sources, meeting the demand for cultural, festive and spiritual activities of local people and visitors.

The space of Cai Bau pagoda appears to be not only peaceful but also sacred and pure. Blending with the bell voice, chanting and the gong sound is wave echo that brings people a sense of calm and stillness.

Its architecture reflects the typical features of a Vietnamese conventional pagoda. However, it becomes unique due to the extraordinary position with its back against the mountain and the sea front.

Visitors can enter for free, making it an accessible spiritual site.
