Attractive cultural and tourism activities to delight visitors in Hanoi during the upcoming holidays
A wide variety of attractive cultural and tourism activities will be held across the capital city of Hanoi, during the upcoming holidays, which will fall from April 29 to May 3.
From April 22 to April 26, a programme entitled “Starting Summer” is taking place at the Hanoi Tuan Chau entertainment and eco-tourism area in Sai Son Commune, Quoc Oai District. The highlight will be the real scene show entitled “The Quintessence of Tonkin”, the seal performances, the service experience activities and the folk games.
The 2023 Traditional Hat Mon Temple Festival and an incense offering ceremony will be held on April 25, to commemorate the 1980th anniversary of the Trung Sisters’ death at Hat Mon Temple Special National Relic Site, in Phuc Tho District. Meanwhile, Lang Pagoda Traditional Festival, a national intangible cultural heritage, will open on April 26.
One of the activities that are expected to attract many visitors during the upcoming holidays will be the “Aloha Summer” Programme and the launch of a new farm and water park at Bao Son Paradise Park, from April 29 to May 3.
Those who love traditional arts can enjoy water puppetry performances or take photos in traditional Korean costumes, at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology on April 29-30.
In addition, the Hanoi Municipal Department of Tourism will organise programmes for visitors to experience ecology and explore the homeland of Saint Giong.
Besides, various tours will be held for locals and visitors to visit and make pottery products at Bat Trang Ancient Craft Village. Art performances, rural markets, and entertainment activities at the Tan Da mineral spring tourist site, during the holidays, are expected to attract a large number of visitors.
The capital city’s tourism sector set a target of welcoming 22 million visitors, including 3 million international guests and earning 77 trillion VND, in 2023.
