AEON Mall Ha Long strives for completion by late 2026
As one of Quang Ninh province’s key off-budget investment projects in commerce, services, and tourism, AEON Mall Ha Long has been fast-tracked for construction, with the goal of opening by the end of 2026.
One year after the province organized the groundbreaking ceremony, the project officially began construction in February 2025. Located in Bai Chay ward, the complex covers more than 13 hectares, including 9.1 hectares for the mall itself and 3.92 hectares for connecting transportation infrastructure, with a total investment of over VND 5.2 trillion.
In line with the committed construction schedule, the contractor has already completed the foundation and main structural work for three out of the five designed floors. The site maintains a workforce of 500-600 staff and engineers working in three shifts, including weekends, with daily supervision and progress control.

General Manager of AEON Mall Ha Long, Inui Shinichiro, noted that the project has received strong support from Quang Ninh’s provincial leadership and relevant departments. This assistance has facilitated administrative procedures, licensing, and technical processes. The project team is closely collaborating with construction partners to apply international standards in project management, occupational safety, and quality control, ensuring top-tier standards and on-time delivery.
As a first-class shopping complex, AEON Mall Ha Long will feature a total floor area of 208,000 square meters. Its core facilities will include F&B services, retail spaces, children’s play zones, and a cinema complex.

Strategically located in the province’s tourism and service hub with modern transport connectivity, the mall is expected to welcome about 10 million visitors annually and create stable employment for around 2,500 workers.
The mall’s main structures and auxiliary facilities are expected to have been completed by early October.
The investor plans to officially open the mall between mid-November and December 2026, contributing to enhancing community lifestyle, attracting tourists, and fostering sustainable regional growth.
