As destinations seek to enhance their competitiveness, Quang Ninh City is proactively renewing its tourism promotion strategy, expanding target markets and diversifying its tourism products.
Quang Ninh City is targeting promising markets, including South Korea, Japan, China, Australia, Europe, India and Southeast Asia, while stepping up participation in international tourism fairs, fostering business partnerships and seeking new opportunities. In September 2026, Quang Ninh welcomed a Pakistani famtrip delegation comprising more than 20 organisations and businesses from the tourism, travel, aviation and media sectors. The delegation explored accommodation and resort services, golf facilities and overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay.
Alongside efforts to expand its markets, Quang Ninh is placing greater emphasis on showcasing the destination’s cultural and historical richness, from the distinctive cultural heritage of the mining region and the spiritual heritage of Yen Tu to its islands, coastal attractions and community-based tourism in the northern highlands. Digital transformation is also being accelerated through websites, social media and other online platforms, thereby improving the effectiveness of promotional activities, reaching a wider audience and elevating Quang Ninh’s tourism brand in both domestic and international markets.
