About 24 international cruise ship arrivals are scheduled at Ha Long International Cruise Port between October and the end of 2026, bringing more foreign visitors to Quang Ninh during the year-end tourism season.
According to the port's registered schedule, two cruise ships are expected in October, followed by eight in November and 14 in December.
Several luxury cruise ships, including Viking Orion, Celebrity Millennium, Diamond Princess, Westerdam, Luminara, Celebrity Solstice and Silver Muse, have included Quang Ninh in their itineraries.
Each ship is expected to carry between 600 and 2,000 to 3,000 passengers.
The peak cruise season began on Oct. 13 and 14, when the Dream and Viking Venus brought about 3,700 international visitors to Quang Ninh.
Cruise activity is expected to increase significantly in December, with two ships scheduled to arrive on the same day on Dec. 14, 26 and 31.
Notably, the Luminara is scheduled to arrive on Dec. 31 and remain at the port until Jan. 1, 2027.
Quang Ninh is working to develop cruise tourism as a year-round activity, although the peak season generally runs from October through March or April of the following year.
The growing number of cruise ship arrivals, particularly toward the end of the year, is expected to attract more international visitors and support local tourism businesses.
The increase in cruise passengers is also expected to boost demand for sightseeing tours, shopping, dining and cultural experiences, contributing to Quang Ninh's tourism activity during the final months of 2026.
