Golf tourism is emerging as an effective way to attract international visitors seeking leisure holidays and a diverse range of experiences. From late September to early April of the following year, favourable weather conditions make Quang Ninh an ideal destination for golf and other outdoor activities. This period also offers an opportunity to tap into demand for golf holidays among international visitors, helping sustain tourism activity in the final months of the year and the early months of the following year.

Around 1,000 South Korean visitors are expected to travel to Quang Ninh for golf experiences between now and the end of 2026. This figure points to positive prospects for a visitor segment with strong potential to generate revenue across a wide range of sectors, including golf services, accommodation, dining, transport and sightseeing.

Under its master plan to 2030, with a vision to 2050, Quang Ninh aims to develop 22 golf courses in major tourism hubs such as Ha Long, Uong Bi and Mong Cai. This long-term orientation reflects the city’s ambition to establish a network of golf courses, diversify its tourism products and attract visitors with higher spending capacity. It also provides a practical way to attract high-value international visitors, contributing to the target of welcoming 5.2 million international arrivals in 2026 and gradually positioning Quang Ninh as one of northern Viet Nam’s leading golf tourism destinations.
