A group of 70 South Korean tourists is visiting Quang Ninh from Oct. 21 to 24 on a trip combining golf, luxury accommodations and sightseeing, as the city attracts growing interest from international golf travelers.
Sun Travel, the tour operator organizing the trip, expects to bring about 1,000 South Korean golf tourists to Quang Ninh between now and the end of 2026.
During their stay, the visitors will play at two golf courses: FLC Ha Long in Ha Long Ward and Silk Path Dong Trieu in An Sinh Ward. Their itinerary also includes stays and premium services at FLC Ha Long and Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh, as well as a visit to the Quang Ninh Museum.
The group will also explore two UNESCO World Heritage sites in Quang Ninh: Ha Long Bay and Yen Tu.
According to South Korean travel agencies, Quang Ninh has become a popular destination because of its diverse natural landscapes, range of tourism services and improving facilities.
The city has recently attracted more international golfers with courses featuring distinctive designs, scenic views and challenging layouts.
Golf tourism combines rounds of golf with sightseeing, leisure activities and resort stays. The period from late September to early April is particularly suitable for golf tourism in Quang Ninh, as cooler weather makes outdoor activities more comfortable.
Golf courses across the city attract both domestic and international visitors, particularly from South Korea and China, helping support tourism during the final months of the year.
Quang Ninh is seeking to attract more international visitors, including higher-spending travelers such as golf tourists, as part of its efforts to diversify tourism and increase revenue.
The city aims to welcome 5.2 million international visitor arrivals in 2026.
