On September 24, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee, held the 2026 National Tourism Promotion Conference under the theme “Innovation – Synergy – Breakthrough”. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong chaired the conference, which was attended by nearly 300 delegates from central ministries and agencies, localities and businesses.
The conference served as an open forum for state management agencies, localities and the business community to exchange views and provide input towards finalising a long-term programme framework in line with Politburo Resolutions No. 26-NQ/TW and No. 80-NQ/TW, as well as Government Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP. Discussions focused on clearly identifying target markets, high-spending and long-stay visitor segments, and potential markets. The conference also discussed the roles of state management agencies, businesses and localities in coordinating major campaigns; addressing issues related to visa policies, air connectivity, trade promotion and diplomacy; and developing tourism products and infrastructure, advancing digital transformation, and connecting data among central agencies, localities and businesses. The goal is to link tourism promotion with product value chains and prepare for 2027 through direct air routes, viable tour programmes and itineraries, quality standards and competitive pricing. Particular attention was also paid to early and systematic preparations for major events, including APEC 2027 and the 2027 National Tourism Year, as well as plans for a professional presence at major international tourism fairs such as ITB Berlin and WTM London.
