Under the theme “Innovation – Connectivity – Tourism Elevation” the 2026 National Travel Conference, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee, opened on the morning of September 24. The conference focused on assessing the current state of the travel industry, identifying new market opportunities and challenges, and proposing solutions to improve the quality and competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism sector.
The conference was chaired by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong and attended by representatives of central ministries and agencies. Quang Ninh City was represented by Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Committee Vu Thi Mai Anh. The event brought together nearly 300 delegates from tourism management agencies and units in provinces and cities, tourism associations, economic and tourism experts, as well as businesses in travel, aviation, transport, accommodation, insurance and technology, and representatives of news agencies and the press.
The conference serves as a forum for management agencies, travel businesses, localities and domestic and international partners to exchange experience, share effective models, promote collaboration in developing tourism products and expand visitor markets. It also helps strengthen linkages among destinations, businesses and service sectors, creating further momentum for professional and sustainable tourism development while better meeting the increasingly diverse demand of visitors.
