Among the 35 destinations competing in the 2026 “Viet Nam’s Best Rural Tourism Destination” contest, Yen Duc community-based tourism village in Hoang Que Ward is Quang Ninh’s sole representative. The contest provides an opportunity to showcase Quang Ninh’s rural landscapes, cultural identity and community life, bringing the city’s rural tourism offerings closer to domestic and international visitors.
Organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the contest aims to honour outstanding rural tourism models that have adopted innovative approaches to harnessing local resources, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, and linking tourism development with sustainable livelihoods for local residents.
Public voting will take place from November 7 to 20, 2026, across three platforms: Facebook, TikTok and the online voting portal. On Facebook, participants can vote by clicking “Like” on the post introducing Yen Duc community-based tourism village. On TikTok, participants can vote by clicking the heart icon on the contest video. To vote via the online portal, participants must log in using a Gmail account and enter an OTP code to confirm their vote.
The evaluation, voting and scoring process is expected to be completed before November 30, 2026. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place during the 2026 Viet Nam OCOP Festival in Ho Chi Minh City from December 3 to 6.
The Quang Ninh City People’s Committee is calling on residents, businesses and visitors to actively support and vote for Yen Duc community-based tourism village. Each vote is a meaningful contribution to promoting the cultural values, scenic landscapes and appeal of rural tourism in Quang Ninh.
