According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Ninh welcomed around 480,000 tourist arrivals during the four-day National Day holiday from August 29 to September 1, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND 1.5 trillion.
During the four-day holiday, many tourist attractions recorded significant visitor numbers. The Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage Site welcomed nearly 34,300 tourist arrivals, including around 15,700 international tourist arrivals.
Cultural, entertainment and recreational attractions also remained busy. Over the four days, Sun World Ha Long Complex welcomed around 26,000 tourist arrivals, while Quang Ninh Museum received more than 18,900.
Spiritual destinations continued to attract large numbers of tourists. The Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes welcomed around 7,800 tourist arrivals; the Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic Site around 5,400; the Tran Dynasty Relic Complex around 5,500; while Cai Bau Pagoda recorded the highest figure, with around 44,400 tourist arrivals.
These figures continue to affirm Quang Ninh’s position as one of the leading tourism centres in northern Vietnam during major public holidays.
