On the afternoon of September 24, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee Le Van Anh held a working session with Uniqlo Vietnam Co., Ltd. on plans to expand its business operations in Quang Ninh, contributing to the development of the retail sector and stronger ties between Quang Ninh City and partners from Japan.
At the working session, representatives of Uniqlo Vietnam said the company continued to seek suitable locations to expand its store network. In addition to location, the company is also looking into local demographics, customer demand, culture and customs to develop suitable expansion plans. The company expressed its wish to have more opportunities to expand its store network in Quang Ninh.
Vice Chairman Le Van Anh affirmed that Quang Ninh is ready to facilitate Uniqlo’s efforts to explore and expand its business operations in the city. The city assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to take the lead, in coordination with relevant departments, agencies, localities and units, in connecting Uniqlo with investors of shopping malls and retail complexes, and supporting the company in surveying and selecting suitable locations to expand its retail network.
Attracting more reputable retail brands is expected to help diversify the retail sector, improve service quality, thereby promoting the development of trade and services in Quang Ninh City.
