Exhibition highlights contributions of Vietnam Women’s Union
The exhibition, entitled “Vietnam Women’s Union – Writing Dreams”, officially opened at the Vietnam Women's Museum in Hanoi on March 9, in celebration of 13th National Women's Congress.
The event was attended by Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia.
Through impressive numbers, images, keywords and sayings, the exhibition highlighted the achievements that the Vietnam Women’s Union has gained over the 90 past years, especially in promoting the equality and development of Vietnamese women.
The first exhibits recalled the union’s development journey, from its formation during the country’s resistance war, to the national reunification and development, in the integration era.
During the second part, the exhibition featured the efforts made by the Vietnam Women’s Union, making outstanding achievements and leaving bold imprints during the 2017-2022 tenure.
With the theme of “Towards the future”, the exhibition’s third part focused on introducing the development orientation of the union, in the near future, through its development strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2035, towards a future with the equality, integration, development and flexible adaptation, in many contexts.
On the occasion, the Vietnam Women’s Union, the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee and the National Humanitarian Portal 1400, jointly launched a text-to-donate campaign, to support women in border areas, by texting ‘BC’ to 1406. Each text message will contribute 20,000 VND (0.88 USD) to the fund.
